Aaron, found a mushroom in Discovery Park yesterday that looks like the pluteus you found. If still there tomorrow, will take a picture and post to iNaturalist.

I recently watched a cooking video that claimed with dehydrated mushrooms you should use the liquid in your dish, not the reconstituted mushrooms, it seems counterintuitive but their argument is that no matter how long you soak the mushies they will never return to their old texture, and that the water will capture a lot of the flavor. I tried it with some of my boletes last year, and the water itself did seem to impart a lot of flavor on the dish I was making. The main drawback is that water is not really interchangeable with mushrooms in a lot of recipes. Something like a risotto or a soup though.... Anyways, thanks for posting your adventures.

Begins with cooking Reishi. At 6:20, pizza with white porcini and Canadian bacon. At 9:52, Spring Fieldcaps. 10:54, creamy chicken and morel pasta. 12:20, winter chanterrelles in olive oil. 21:25, Coral mushrooms, tempura-battered and fried . 25:20, campfire bacon sandwich. 26:21 wild morel yakisoba. 26:56, cooking Bears' Head mushroom (hericium). 32:02, morels on an open fire.

Yuppers this is our "dry time", ( shush,don't tell to many from elsewhere's. They might want to move here. 😂🤣😅😆) Anyway the great thing is this is the start of our salmon season so no time to rest. I live in southwest Washington near Longview. Maybe someday we hook up and do a combination fishing/mushrooms / truffles videos. What the heck maybe throw in some BBQ cooking to. Have a great day. In the summer I switch to urban hunting mostly parks and drainages… the clash of where urban meets nature. Allot of LBS all the lawn mushrooms are out right now. Find some pans Cint or.. it’s a fun game. Ether way love your videos thanks.

I’m gonna be very blunt about this. Finding more reasons to exploit animals without need is crazy… we don’t need to build hobbies or businesses around silk, wool, or any other animal fibers. It’s obsolete and gross. Very cool idea but outdated.

Never step into fairy ring trust me if you ever do there is a 50%chance your going to the fairy world and having bad luck but sometimes its just a mushroom growing or fairy grows the mushroom

The coincidence of this video being posted the same day that I just serviced a customers house that does this same thing in her basement is kinda tripping me out. Also, those beanies are really cool & I kinda want one to add to my art collection. I would wear it but also want to preserve its memories. That is really cool Aaron!
